Congratulations to the recipient of the SCSTA 2024-2025 Communication Arts Award, Stephanie Black Daniels! Stephanie is the theatre teacher at Rock Hill HS and currently serves as treasurer of the Palmetto Dramatic Association. We are so grateful for her service to her students and her passion for theatre!

"Stephanie Daniels is a masterful blend of passion, expertise, and inspiration. She creates a safe, creative space where students feel empowered to take risks, explore emotions, and develop their craft. She has a deep understanding of acting, directing, and stagecraft, but more importantly, she knows how to bring out the best in every student, regardless of skill level.
Mrs. Daniels balances high expectations with unwavering support, pushing students to go beyond their comfort zones while celebrating their individuality. Her feedback is constructive and encouraging, helping students grow in confidence and technique. She uses innovative teaching methods, making every rehearsal and lesson engaging, fun, and meaningful.
Beyond the stage, Stephanie instills life skills—discipline, collaboration, empathy, and resilience—leaving a lasting impact that extends far beyond her classroom or even the stage. Students don’t just learn how to act; they learn how to be bold, creative, and fearless in whatever path they choose."
